Youngest-ever Newsletter contributor!

The Society’s latest quarterly Newsletter is now available to Members and features its youngest-ever contributor!  Zach Ingrosso (9), a pupil of Eltham CofE School in Roper Street (which was actually where the initial meeting of The Eltham Society was held back in 1965!), wrote a great story that was included in the Young Writers’ Monster Mini Tales book and he kindly allowed us to turn it into a poem so we could publish it in the Newsletter’s Poetry Corner.  Here he is with his mum Gul and with Poetry Corner’s editor, Terry.

Cheese & Wine Social

Cheese & Wine Social

Members held their annual Cheese & Wine Social at the Woodcroft Club on Thursday 4th September 2025.  The event proves more popular each year and this one was a sell-out with a record 70 people.  There was a large selection of British cheeses plus some guest cheeses from France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland.  Entertainment was provided by local band Golden Revival (pictured) who sang a selection of Beatles’ songs, finishing with everyone joining in on the na-na’s of Hey Jude!
